Definitions
Customer: Any individual, group, company, municipality or organization utilizing this service.
FTP: File Transfer Protocol. FTP is a communications protocol by which clients can transfer files to a server. It is used to transfer files from computer to computer across the world wide web (www) or internet.
Electronic Plans Review Service: Also called eReview. This service allows customers to transfer computer files via FTP with the New Customer Division (NCD) of the Water and Sewer Department (WASD). The files are water and/or sewer plans and asbuilts that need to be reviewed by staff.
General Terms
The Customer agrees to indemnify Miami-Dade County, its Officers, Officials, and Employees and hold Miami-Dade County, its Officers, Officials, and Employees harmless from all claims, injuries, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including without limitation, attorney fees) arising out of use of this service.
Acceptance of General Terms
By submitting an application to become a customer utilizing the Electronic Review Service, you accept the above General Terms, and, Conditions of Use (given below). Do not submit an application if you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions of Use.
Conditions of Use
The website, pages, databases, FTP site and server are solely the property of Miami-Dade County.
All files transferred via FTP shall be restricted to business purposes only. No personal use is allowed. Any inappropriate use will result in termination of the Customer’s access to this service.
Miami-Dade County shall not be responsible for loss of data due to any circumstance including technology failure or failure from any other cause. These include, but are not limited to: viruses, server/web failures, and connection failures.
Customer Responsibility

The Customer is responsible to retain copies of their files for their own records. Files may inadvertently or otherwise, be altered.

The Customer is responsible for checking all electronic media for computer viruses when transferring files.

The Customer is fully responsible for intercepting and disabling viruses that may be inadvertently transmitted with the files, and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Miami-Dade County harmless from, and against all claims of any type or nature.
Document of Record
Electronic files are used to expedite the review process and not intended to be “Documents of Record.” All “Documents of Record” shall be hard copy and contain a professional’s stamp and signature by the Engineer of Record or Professional Land Surveyor. The hard copy shall be referred to and shall govern, in the event of any inconsistency between the hard copy and the electronic file.
