    Billing Adjustments

Customers may receive an adjustment to their bill in any of these cases:

    1. an incorrect meter reading
    2. an over or under estimated reading
    3. an act of vandalism resulting in a high bill (customer must have reported the incident to the police, and must verify repairs made to damaged water and sewer fixtures)
    4. a high bill due to a leak which was concealed underground or behind a wall

To request a leak credit, please fill in an underground / concealed leak credit request form Adobe Reader. Be sure to indicate the date and location on the property of the repairs. Fax the completed form to 786-552-8763 or mail to Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Dept, P.O. Box 330316, Miami, FL 33233-3016. Be sure to indicate “Leak Credit” on the fax sheet or envelope.

No adjustments will be made for leaks occurring in visible fixtures such as toilets, hot water heaters, faucets or exposed plumbing (including pipes in an under-the sink cabinet, for example).

    Pools:

The Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department will give each customer one credit during each calendar year when emptying and filling a pool. The credit will be applied to the sewer portion of the bill and will be in an amount based on the dimensions of the pool.

To receive a pool credit, please fill in a pool credit form Adobe Reader. Be sure to indicate the dimensions of the pool. Fax the completed form to 786-552-8763 or mail to Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Dept, P.O. Box 330316, Miami, FL 33233-3016. Be sure to indicate “Pool Credit” on the fax sheet or envelope.
