Please note: the following information is for making a new, first-time physical connection to the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's (WASD) sewer system. If the property you are responsible for has had sewer service in the past (in other words, it is already physically connected to the sanitary sewer system) and you simply need to open an account for sewer service under your name, please contact Customer Service at 305-665-7488.
If you are changing a property's previous type of use (example: building multiple residential units on land that was previously zoned for single family use), please note the following: in addition to any permits you would need for making the proposed change, as well as all of the items listed below, WASD would need the sewage flow allocation letter from the Miami-Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) to reflect any additional gallonage demand created by the change. WASD will determine if the sewer main fronting the property is of sufficient size for the additional gallonage demand and if it provides complete property frontage.
In order to connect your property to the WASD sewer system, please supply the following to the WASD New Business Office at either the LeJeune building, 3575 S. LeJeune Road (south of US-1) or the Miami-Dade Permitting and Inspection Center (MDPIC) at 11805 SW 26 Street in west Miami-Dade.
