Welcome to the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s Design and Construction Standard Specifications and Details. These “standards” are intended for developers, engineers and contractors to design and construct water, sewer and reclaimed water infrastructure projects that will subsequently be donated to the Department.
On March 5, 2007, the standards were posted online and made available to all via the Internet. These standards have been utilized by the Department for many years and continue to be periodically updated on-line as needed.
New standards and standard details for use with reclaimed water systems have been introduced in June of 2008. Also introduced were design guidelines for turbo meter installations, 4 to 10 inches with by-pass.
Users are encouraged to visit the website often to view the latest standards.
Your feedback is important and should be sent via email to the Department at: WASD_STANDARDS@miamidade.gov.
