APPENDICES

This publication is arranged in CSI format, with the exception of the various utility construction which comprise the UC-XXX Series of specifications sections. It is organized so that all standards or minimum requirements governing a specific product, design, construction method or trade are grouped together and cross-referenced. The utility construction specification (i.e. found in Part I) are arranged prior to and contain references to the technical specifications of Parts II and III.
The Design and Construction Standard Specifications and Details is comprised of seven major subdivisions. These subdivisions or parts of this publication are designated by Roman numerals (I, II, ...) and labeled as PART I, PART II, etc. Each part shall contain specification sections relating to a specific subject, product, construction method or trade.
The range listed above in the outline for the specification sections of each PART indicate the upper and lower limits of possible section numbers and are not intended to denote actual section numbers included herein.
Sections are further subdivided into three sub-sections or parts which are designated by Arabic numerals (1, 2 and 3). These sub-sections are characteristic of the three part CSI Section Format, whereby Part 1 is entitled GENERAL, Part 2 is entitled PRODUCTS and Part 3 is entitled EXECUTION. Some sections may not require Part 2 and/or Part 3, therefore those parts may be omitted or identified as "Not Used". Each section starts with the section number and title and conclude with the statement "END OF SECTION"
The presentation of these standards in binder was designed for ease of use, reference and maintenance by the user. Future updates or revisions to this publication will be accomplished by modular replacement of the individual section being revised. Where new sections are added to this publication, a revised index shall also be provided.
Each specification page included in PART I, II and III shall include the following information: section number, page number, the acronym "MDWASD", the revision level and revision date, as shown on Figure 1, below.
