• New Trip Planning hours: Effective October 19, 2009, Miami-Dade County's Transit Trip Planning will be closed on Sundays. The new hours of operation for Transit Trip Planning will be Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers needing Transit Trip Planning assistance should call during those times. • Discontinuing free transfers from Busway to Metrorail: Effective Oct. 1, 2009, free transfers from Busway routes to Metrorail will be discontinued. You must pay your bus fare with an EASY Card or EASY Ticket to transfer to Metrorail for 50 cents. Passengers paying with cash on the bus must pay full fare every time they board a bus or train.
  
  
• EASY Card faregates go up at Government Center Station: Miami-Dade Transit is currently installing the new EASY Card faregates at the Government Center Metrorail station. See the flyer to learn more, or read the press release. 
  
  
• Special traffic advisory related to the construction of the MIC-Earlington Heights Metrorail extension: For approximately two months, one westbound lane will be closed on NW 41 St. between NW 27 and 32 avenues due to road improvements that are part of the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC)-Earlington Heights Metrorail extension project. View the press release to learn more.

• Metrorail weekend single tracking schedule: Between Culmer and Brickell stations:
  • Friday, November 6, 2009, from 8 p.m. to closing.
  • Evening northbound service from Dadeland South Station will be provided every 30 minutes starting at 8:30 p.m. until closing. Trains will depart from the Dadeland South Station 15 minutes later than the regular schedule from 8:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
  • Evening southbound service from the Palmetto Station will be provided every 30 minutes starting at 8:22 p.m. until closing.
  • Saturday, November 7- Sunday, November 8, 2009
  • Trains leaving from the Dadeland South Station will depart 9 minutes earlier than the regular schedule from 6:09 a.m. to 8:09 p.m. and 15 minutes later from 8:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m..
  • The first train from the Dadeland South Station will depart at 5:29 a.m., 4 minutes later than the regular schedule.
  • Miami-Dade Transit conducts single tracking to do track-maintenance work.
  • To ensure that you get to your destination on time during single tracking, arrive at your train station a few minutes earlier, or track your train arrival times with Train Tracker. • Metrobus Route 29 detour: Until further notice, buses will be detoured to travel on W 20 Avenue between 60 and 68 streets due to road construction. Click here for detour map.  
  
  
• Metrobus Route 70 Air Show detour: Due to the "Wings Over Homestead" Air Show, buses will be detoured off of SW 288 Street to travel on SW 280 Street between 132nd and 127th avenues on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. each day. Click here for detour map.
  
  
• Book Fair Metrobus detours: Due to the 2009 Miami Book Fair International, NE 1st and 2nd avenues will be closed between 3rd and 5th streets from 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16.   • Until further notice, routes 62 and J (110) buses will be detoured to travel north on Meridian Ave., east on 23 St., north on Prairie Ave., east on 28 St., and then north on Sheridan Ave.  This detour is due to road construction on Dade Blvd. and Prairie Ave.
