Note: Please be advised that when there are sustained winds of 35 miles per hour, the vehicles, especially the high-top vans, need to be off the road. The Office of Emergency Management wants all vehicle operations concluded, including evacuations, three hours before there are sustained winds of 39 miles per hour. For more information, call Special Transportation Service reservation and information line at 305-264-9000, or STS Customer Service at 786-469-5000.
Note: Be advised that the STS fare for a one-way trip is now $3.
The Paratransit Trip Confirmation and Cancellation service allows STS riders to confirm and cancel trips online. This option is an alternative to calling the Customer Services line. Paratransit riders are not required to use this new online service to confirm and cancel trips. However, this added benefit provides quick access to booked trips without making a telephone call.
To access the Paratransit Trip Confirmation and Cancellation service, you will need Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher) or Netscape. AOL users may experience inconsistencies due to AOL business processes. Click here to use the Paratransit Trip Confirmation and Cancellation service.
Special Transportation Service (STS)
STS is available for people with an intellectual, mental, or physical disability who cannot ride Metrobus, Metrorail, or Metromover. For $3 per one-way trip, STS offers shared-ride, door-to-door travel in accessible vehicles throughout most of Miami-Dade County, in some parts of South Broward County, and in the Monroe County Upper to Middle keys. STS operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including most holidays. Use STS for trips to medical appointments, school, work, shopping, business, or recreation. Air-conditioned minivans, small buses, lift-equipped vans, and sedans transport passengers with disabilities safely in a clean, smoke-free environment. Pickups are within 30 minutes of the scheduled time.
