Miami-Dade County's 22-mile, elevated rapid transit system runs from Kendall through South Miami, Coral Gables, and downtown Miami; to the Civic Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital area; and to Brownsville, Liberty City, Hialeah, and Medley in northwest Miami-Dade, with connections to Broward and Palm Beach counties at the Tri-Rail/Metrorail transfer station.

The 22 accessible Metrorail stations are about one-mile apart, providing easy access for bus riders, pedestrians, and passengers dropped off and picked up. Parking is available at 19 Metrorail stations, including the new Palmetto Station.

Safety in Rail Stations
If you see something suspicious, tell a transit employee or security officer or call 305-375-2700.

• Hold on to handrails
• Running inside the station is prohibited
• Always hold your children's hands while in the station
• Always stand away from the edge of the platform
• Contact station personnel or use the passenger assistance telephone at the security officer's booth if you drop an object on the track, or in case of an emergency
• Do not enter the guideway
• Rollerblading and skating are prohibited in rail stations and garages.

Note: Due to ongoing track maintenance and improvements, single-tracking and 30-minute train service may affect the weekday evening and weekend schedules. Look for station signs indicating the track in service. And check Transit Service Updates on our home page for the latest service changes.
