    Welcome to Miami-Dade Transit

    Service Updates

    •  Special events Park & Ride service to Dolphin games discontinued: Due to increased fuel costs and budget constraints, Miami-Dade Transit will no longer be able to offer special events Park & Ride service to Miami Dolphins games, including the Aug. 9th game. Miami-Dade Transit previously provided service from the following locations:
      • Golden Glades Park & Ride lot 
      • Dadeland North Metrorail station 
      • Florida International University (University Park/South Campus)
      • Miami Beach municipal parking lot at 42 St.

    •  Park & Ride lot at MDC closes in August: Effective Monday, August 18, 2008, the Park & Ride lot at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus will close. Transit customers are encouraged to use the Park & Ride lot at the Hammocks Town Center (SW 104 St. and 152 Ave.).     •  Sale of transit tokens to be discontinued: Effective October 1, 2008, Miami-Dade Transit will no longer sell tokens, but will continue to accept them as fare payment until January 31, 2009.

    •  Pennies no longer accepted for bus fare:       Effective September 1, 2008, pennies will no longer be accepted as fare payment on Metrobus fareboxes.

    •  Metrorail weekend double single-tracking schedule: Between Palmetto and Okeechobee stations, and between Dadeland South and Douglas Road stations. For more details, click here.

    •  Metrobus Route 91 detour: Until further notice, buses headed eastbound and westbound will be detoured. See the Metrobus section under service updates for complete information.
