With an EASY Card or EASY Ticket, you don’t have to look for loose change every time you ride or wait in line for a monthly transit pass.
When boarding a Metrobus, simply tap your reloadable EASY Card or EASY Ticket on the farebox. The fare is automatically deducted, or enjoy unlimited rides for a day, week or month with a time-based pass. Metrobus fareboxes also accept dollar bills, quarters, dimes, and nickels. Obtain and load an EASY Card or EASY Ticket online, at any Metrorail station, or at any of over 80 sales outlets located throughout Miami-Dade County.
Note: Passengers paying with cash must pay the full fare every time they board a bus or train. Customers must use an EASY Card or EASY Ticket to transfer for 50 cents. Miami-Dade Transit strongly recommends using an EASY Card or EASY Ticket if your trip requires transfers.
To ride Metrorail, you will need an EASY Card or EASY Ticket as the new faregates do not accept cash. To obtain an EASY Card or EASY Ticket, walk over to one of the EASY Card vending machines located at the entrance of each rail station. Obtain and load a card or ticket using cash or a valid credit card. Then use the card or ticket to pay your fare at the faregate.
When transferring from rail to bus, you must tap out at the Metrorail station where you transfer. Otherwise, your transfer will be invalid and you will be charged the full fare.
Metromover is free for all riders. Enter any station through the entrance gate.
The 7-Day Pass offers an easy and inexpensive way for visitors to discover Greater Miami and the Beaches. The pass gives you seven consecutive days of unlimited rides on Metrobus and Metrorail. Buy the $26 transit pass online or at any Metrorail station.
Skip the long lines. Order online! Purchase and load an EASY Card here. Or order it by calling 3-1-1 (persons who are deaf or with hearing impairments call 305-468-5402). EASY Cards (not EASY Tickets) can be purchased online or by telephone.
Discount-fare EASY Cards are available to Medicare recipients, most people with disabilities, and Miami-Dade students in grades K-12.
Students in participating colleges and adult education centers also may be eligible for a discount through the College/Adult Education Pass Program.
Group discounts and pre-tax savings also are available to passengers who purchase their monthly transit through a payroll deduction from their employer through the Corporate Discount Program.
Miami-Dade residents who are 65 years and older and Social Security beneficiaries ride free with a Golden Passport EASY Card. Veterans residing in Miami-Dade and earning $22,000 or less annually ride free with the Patriot Passport EASY Card. People with disabilities also may ride transit free if registered with Special Transportation Service. Just show the ADA/STS permit to the Metrobus operator or Metrorail security officer when boarding. For details on the ADA/STS permit, call 305-630-5300.
