Miami-Dade Transit will host a Small Group Meeting:  May 8, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at St. Thomas University, 16401 NW 37th Avenue, Moot Court Room, Miami Gardens, Florida 33054.  The objective is to present and discuss the proposed Post Record of Decision (ROD) design modifications to the approved Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Orange Line Phase 2: North Corridor Metrorail Extension.  The meeting will begin with an open-house, followed by a presentation at 7:30 p.m.   The purpose of this meeting is to present and discuss the proposed changes with members of the public.  Public involvement is vital to the success of any project with potential impact on the community.  This ensures that important community concerns and technical issues are identified and addressed in the engineering, environmental, economic and financial analyses to respond to community needs and preferences.  MDT conducted an extensive agency coordination and public involvement effort throughout the FEIS process and will continue those efforts during this study.
