Environmental Assessment

MDT has conducted a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) to address a number of minor design changes to the North Corridor Metrorail Extension Project, in an effort to preserve the project's cost-effectiveness under Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines.

FTA has reviewed the SEA for the Orange Line Phase 2 (North Corridor) Project (in accordance with 23 CFR 771.119) and has determined that there are no significant impacts to the environment associated with the development and operation of this project.  A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) was approved on November 7, 2008.
