Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended (ADA) prohibits employment discrimination against “qualified individuals” with disabilities. A qualified individual with a disability is defined as:

An individual with a disability who meets the skill, education, experience and other job-related requirements of a position held or desired.

And who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of the job.
OCR/LR is responsible for reviewing and processing all requests for reasonable accommodation pursuant to the ADA.
The Office of Civil Rights and Labor Relations handles all appeals pertaining to access to Special Transportation Service (STS), pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
All applicants who have been denied access to STS have 60 calendar days after their denial to file an appeal or request a review hearing in writing, via e-mail or otherwise to the address below. All documents that may support the applicant’s claim, including a valid daytime telephone number, must accompany the claim. Also, applicant has the right to bring a personal representative to the hearing review.
