Metromover station cleaning and greening


Hands On Miami, City Year and Miami-Dade County Community Image Advisory Board Co-Host Cleaning and Greening Event

 


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
On Saturday May 9, 2009, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez's V Initiative is sponsoring the Metromover Station Cleaning and Greening in partnership with Hands on Miami, City Year and the Miami-Dade County Community Image Advisory Board.  V is Mayor Carlos Alvarez's volunteer initiative, which draws on the collective efforts of government, business leaders and the community to make Miami-Dade County a better place to live.

City Year corps members along with volunteers from the above partners will participate in the cleanup greening of three metro mover stations  in preparation for International Pow Wow, the travel industry's premier trade show bringing more than 5,000 delegates from more than 70 countries to Miami.  International Pow Wow takes place May 16 through May 20, 2009.
