After School & Seasonal Camp Programs for Children with Disabilities
The Leisure Access Division offers summer camps and after-school programs for children and adults ages 6 to 22 with disabilities. The programs are Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Wheelchair Basketball Team - Miami Springs Rec. Ctr.

Description: This is a competitive team environment for adults with physical disabilities. The season starts in August and ends in February.

Tea & Tai Chi - Weswind Lakes Park

Description: This program works on improving balance and flexibility, and helps reduce stress through slow flowing movements.

Wheelchair Tennis - Big 5 Tennis Club

Description: This program is designed for adults with physical disabilities focusing on tennis instruction for the adult.

Fitness Swim - Palm Springs North Pool
Wednesdays 12 p.m. - 2 p.m Contact: Belinda Phillips, 305-752-4966
Description: This program is designed for ages 14 and up with physical or visual disabilities focusing on learning to swim for health and fitness.

Low Impact Water Exercise - Tue. & Thu. 11a.m. - 12 p.m.
Description: This is an aquatic exercise program for adults with arthritis and/or physical limitations. The program runs from January to November.
