Dock away from it all at this gateway to the Florida Keys in the crystal clear waters of south Biscayne Bay, next to the beautiful coral reefs of Biscayne National Park and the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary. It is in a beautiful tropical setting with a natural atoll pool and beach. It has a full-line snackbar at the beach, picnic pavilions, grills, fishing area and a large playground.

Approach from Sea: Located at Convoy Point, next to the Biscayne National Park Headquarters (south side). On Biscayne Bay, approximately one mile north of the F.P.L. Channel (identified by its twin stacks), and approximately six miles southwest of ICW Channel Markers "5" and "6", or the area better known as the Featherbeds.

Position: 25° 27.8' N., 80° 19.2' W.

Approach Depth: 3.5' to 5'.

Dockside Depth: 5' to 6'.

Monitors VHF Channel 16/Working Channel 72. Advanced reservations are requested. Call on VHF Channel 16 when approaching and you will be given docking instructions.

Training  

The US Coast Guard's 7th District Auxiliary offers boating safety courses to civilians throughout the year starting in March.

Courses include: Navigation, GPS and "On the Water Training", where you actually go out on a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat and train with certified members.
