The Division of Arts & Culture manages two of Miami-Dade County’s finest performing arts venues, Joseph Caleb Auditorium and Miami-Dade County Auditorium. Both auditoriums have been recently outfitted with updated technical equipment to meet production needs.
Opened in 1978 to provide a cultural center for the community of Liberty City, Joseph Caleb Auditorium enjoys a unique place in Miami-Dade County as a state-of-the-art medium-sized house, with beautifully appointed lobbies, excellent sight lines, and newly renovated dressing rooms that cater to artists and audiences alike. This 991-seat theater hosts many cultural activities for children and is dedicated to celebrating artistic excellence.
A cultural treasure for over 55 years and conveniently located in the heart of Miami, the Miami-Dade County Auditorium provides an inviting atmosphere to its audiences from grand opera to chamber orchestras to zarzuelas to modern dance. Recently renovated to assure accessibility for all patrons, the art-deco inspired facility houses a 2,429-seat auditorium and is home to several resident companies. This auditorium offers excellent acoustics and sightlines, on-site parking for more than 600 vehicles and friendly service from ticket purchase to performance.
