    Address Blocking

    The Property Search function allows access to public information recorded on the tax rolls of Miami-Dade County. However,  Florida Statutes 119.071 provides for an exemption from public information to certain agencies and individuals from public records, including but not limited to

    • Active or former law enforcement personnel
    • Correctional and correctional probation officers
    • Certain personnel of the Department of Children and Family Services
    • Certain personnel of the Department of Health
    • Certain personnel of the Department of Revenue
    • Firefighters
    • Judges, including: justices of the Supreme Court, district court of appeal judges, circuit court judges, and county court judges
    • Current or former state attorneys, assistant state attorneys, statewide prosecutors, or assistant statewide prosecutors
    • County and municipal code inspectors and code enforcement officers
    • Spouses and children of all the above

    For more details on this exemption please view the official  Florida Statute 119.071.  Those individuals who qualify and wish the exemption must:

    • Provide proof of employment in the eligible agency; such as a copy of your identification badge with the agency's name, or other similar proof

    As an alternative, your agency may submit a list of eligible individuals on agency letterhead with their names, addresses, titles, and the parcel identification (folio) number of the property identified with each individual.

    To reverse or remove Address Blocking:

    Deliver, mail, or fax a signed letter requesting removal of Address Blocking, including:

    • Reasons for removal request
    • Copy of Employment Identification
