The Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED) administers Federal and State funding that supports the development of viable urban neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County characterized by decent housing, expansion of economic opportunities and the preservation of historic properties.
A business owner must apply directly to the Office of Community Development
The property appraiser values the new construction, calculates the tax abatement and processes the exemption once approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Once approved the commercial district within the PA department will process.
