    Hotels and Visitors

If you own or operate a hotel in Miami-Dade County, please remember that during an evacuation order, your guests may have to evacuate. Hurricane evacuation centers (HECs) in Miami-Dade have limited spaces for residents and are the last resort for those who have no other place to go. HECs are NOT meant to shelter tourists. Please be sure to make arrangements for your guests with a partner facility outside of the evacuation zones so that they do NOT end up in a HEC. This way, our residents in need will have a place to go and your guests will know that you take their welfare seriously.
