Should disaster strike, CERT members can provide immediate first aid assistance to victims and give critical support to first responders. Their training includes basic fire suppression and search and rescue techniques.

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) plays an integral part in our preparedness and response strategy. It provides an organized way for retired and practicing physicians, nurses and other health care professionals to volunteers their skills and expertise during local crises and throughout the year. Local MRC volunteer assist during large-scale emergencies such as an act of terrorism or an outbreak of influenza.
Neighborhood Watch is a highly successful program that helps reduce and even prevent residential crime. Its unique infrastructure brings together neighborhood residents with local law enforcement who work together and better secure the safety of communities.
