Miami-Dade County is hosting some VIPs - very important visitors - this weekend for the U.S. Travel's International Pow Wow. More than 1,000 travel organizations and 1,500 international and domestic buyers from more than 70 countries will gather in Miami for what is not your typical travel industry trade show. It generates billions of dollars in future Visit USA travel. For the County, it's especially advantageous because it's our chance to shine.

Under the leadership of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and their “Miami Begins With Me” campaign, the community joins together for Pow Wow and everyone's efforts make a big difference in selling future travel to Miami.

A team of ambassadors have assembled to make sure our VIPs enjoy our beautiful parks and beaches, colorful ethnic neighborhoods and many tourist-pleasing spots. From the County's Community Image Department, that maintains tropical landscape on our major roadways and transportation terminals, to polite taxi cab drivers and helpful tour operators, we make up the Miami experience.
