The Miami-Dade Elections Department is ready to welcome voters in four municipal elections in the cities of Hialeah, Homestead, Miami and Miami Beach. It has never been easier to exercise your right to vote, and the process never more transparent. Approximately one-third all registered voters are eligible to vote.
During the last General Election, it was exciting to witness a voter turnout of almost 70 percent. Miami-Dade County's voter registration grew to a record-breaking numbers - 1,245,138; and more people than ever before casted ballots - 854,654.
I encourage our community to continue being engaged in our democratic process. If you live in one of the municipalities and are a registered voter, please get out and vote today. The polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm. For more information or to confirm your precinct, call 3-1-1 or visit www.miamidade.gov/elections .
Sincerely,

Mayor Carlos Alvarez
