The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, recently passed by President Obama and the U.S. Congress, will invest in infrastructure and energy projects, provide tax relief to those in greatest need, and expand or improve educational opportunities and affordable health care programs. Miami-Dade County is poised to put these economic stimulus dollars to work improving our community and providing jobs.

To help residents effectively access these economic stimulus opportunities,we have launched a new Recovery Act web page.This page contains information on current County grants and projects, as well as federal, state, local and private opportunities.

Residents now have access to economic stimulus projects right away as this information is updated on an on-going basis. It will also be available to 3-1-1 Answer Center callers.

To make it as effective as possible, we have also created a weekly e-mail alert component that provides free, weekly grant mail notifications to those who subscribe.

During these tough economic times, we want to make sure Miami-Dade residents have the latest information on economic stimulus opportunities.
