How do I, a Miami-Dade County Employee, update my profile?
The information in a current employee's profile comes from the employee database maintained by the Enterprise Technology Services Department (ETSD). Information migrates from that source through an interface into the online recruitment application. Therefore, to insure the integrity of the information, changes must be maintained in the primary database. To update your address, marital status, name, citizenship, etc., you must process the changes to your departmental personnel representative (DPR).
Emails should be entered through the Blue Book.
What is the Rule of Four?
Promotional lists display the applicants' names in rank order, based upon their performance on the promotional tests, seniority and other qualification criteria. The Personnel Rules for the Classified Service require that when selecting from a certified promotional list, the hiring manager select from the highest ranking four candidates.
Who can help Miami-Dade County employees with forgotten e-Jobs passwords?
Miami-Dade County employees are automatically assigned an initial password which is the term "Pass" in addition to the last four digits of the respective employees’ social security number; for example, Pass1234.
As soon as an employee logs into the system using the assigned password, the employee will be prompted and required to change it to something he or she can easily remember. The password can be changed any time thereafter; it remains under the user’s control.
Miami-Dade County employees who cannot remember their passwords should seek assistance by calling 305-596-HELP (4357). The ETSD Help Desk business hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
