Description: Native, semi-deciduous tree with delicate, feathery foliage. Broad, spreading canopy. Fast-growing with an airy look. Flowers are white, miniature powder puffs and produces 5-inch long brown pods.
Size: Large (up to 50 ft in height)
Location: Plant at least 30 feet from power lines and 16-22 feet from your house.
Salt tolerance: Moderate
Watering: Water during planting and for one year thereafter (see watering schedule in "Dig In Miami-Dade County" booklet). May need to water during fruiting if under drought conditions.
