Description: A fast-growing, small evergreen tree. Produces showy yellow flowers in the fall and winter.
Size: Small (typically about 15 ft)
Location: Can be planted adjacent to powerlines and should be planted 10-16 feet from the house. Light shade to full sun.
Salt tolerance: Low
Watering: Water during planting and for one year thereafter (see watering schedule in "Dig In Miami-Dade County" booklet). May need to water during fruiting if under drought conditions.
Fertilization: Do not fertilize until 6 months after planting. Call 305-248-3311 ext.228 for fertilizing information specific to your tree.
Pruning: Wait one year to prune. If staked, remove after 6 months. |
