Description: An evergreen with single or multiple trunks with a bushy, broad crown. The tree will begin to produce fruit within 10 to 14 months after planting and will be mature 60 - 75 days after flowering. Fruit is sweetest when allowed to ripen on tree.
Size: Small to medium (20-30 ft in height) and spreads 20 to 25 ft in diameter.
Location: Plant 20 feet from power lines and 10-16 feet from your house. Full sun.
Salt tolerance: None
Watering: Water during planting and for one year thereafter (see watering schedule in "Dig In Miami-Dade County" booklet). May need to water during fruiting if under drought conditions.
Fertilization: Do not fertilize until 6 months after planting. Call 305-248-3311 ext.228 for fertilizing information specific to your tree.
Pruning: Wait one year to prune. If staked, remove after 6 months.
