    Air Emissions Permits

Sources of air emissions are regulated within Miami-Dade County.

    Construction Permits
Any construction or modification activities at facilities with the potential to emit air emissions may require a construction permit.  Asbestos permiting may also be required for just about any renovation project where that material may be present. Find out more information about the general DERM plan review process.

    Operating Permits
In addition to construction permits, sources with the potential to emit air emissions may require an air operating permit that is renewed on a periodic basis.  In addition to an air operating permit, a facility may also require additional operating permits depending on the type of operation, its location, materials stored, or waste generated. Information about any additional permit requirements can be found here.
