    Getting it right the first time!

    Effective July 6, DERM's Office of Plan Review Services will implement a Tie Beam Inspection Hold on all new construction and substantial additions. This means that an Under Construction Elevation Certificate showing floor elevation, adjacent grade elevation and crown of road elevation will be required. For more information, call 786-315-2800.

    Getting it right the first time: workshop for building officials

    On October 29, 2008 DERM presented a workshop for building officials in order to improve customer service for the residents of Miami-Dade County and enhance coordination between the various municipalities. Most municipalities of Miami-Dade attended this workshop. For more information on future workshops, please call 786-315-2800.

    Getting it right the first time: Some DERM review programs have moved

    New process for municipal permits

    Plan reviews that will require Fire Rescue and/or Environmental Resource Management review must now submit two sets of plans and a municipal intake application to the Permit Records Section at the Permitting and Inspection Center. Read the Notice to Applicants for more details.
