To monitor underground storage tanks and piping that hold hazardous materials and discharge to the environment. The permit provides operating conditions and requirements as well as guidance for the operators.

It is necessary to protect both the public and the environment from the consequences of improper operating of the underground storage tank.

When opening a facility, a completed Storage Tank Facility Registration Form is required.  If tanks are being installed, modified, repaired or replaced, then department approval of the plans is required.

This question is intended to give you an idea of what other permits may be needed. Depending on your situation, you may need one or more of the above-mentioned permits. Additionally, there may be instances when a permit that is not listed here is required.
