The Surface Water Management Permit, or ERP, is needed for certain large size development projects, where proper design of drainage for a large area is important for both water quality and quantity purposes.

An ERP is necessary to control the water quality and quantity that inevitably comes from large-scale development.

Depending on the specific features of each project, the project may need Class I, II, III, or IV permits from DERM, as well as possibly a Class V when the foundation is started.

This question is intended to give you an idea of what other permits may be needed. Depending on your situation, you may need one or more of the above-mentioned permits. Additionally, there may be instances when a permit that is not listed here is required.
