Endangered…rare…precious… These are some of the words used to describe some of the most valuable natural resources a community has. Here in Miami-Dade County, we use them to describe some extraordinary areas. These natural areas are the hammocks, pine rocklands, and wetlands of Southeast Florida, and they are unique habitats in the world.
