    Resolution R-374-03 and R702-05 require Miami-Dade County to track and report the following information annually to the BCC:

    1. The percentage of County purchases of office goods containing recycled material and /or identified as an environmentally preferable products;
    2. The rate of participation in recycling programs by County agencies;
    3. The overall percentage of the County operational waste stream that is eliminated or diverted through recycling and conservation efforts; and
    4. Reduction in operational costs through environmentally preferable products, services, and practices. 

    The resolution requires delivery of an annual report on the County's progress to the Board of County Commissioners for review by April of each year.

    This report is compiled by the Miami-Dade Resource Conservation Committee (RCC), which is comprised of  Department Representatives.  In order to comply with the requirements of the resolution, it is necessary to have all the County Departments participate and represented. 

    If your department is not listed as a Department Representative, you must assign a representative and an alternate from your department to serve as a member of the RCC.  The representative or alternate is required to attend the monthly RCC meetings held at the Overtown Transit Village (OTV)  training room on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2pm- 4pm.
